What concerns does Dr. Schuster treat?
His primary areas of focus are OCD, phobias, panic, health anxiety, and related anxiety disorders. Treatment may use ERP, ACT, and CBT based on a careful assessment and your goals.
How do ERP and ACT work together?
ERP helps you approach feared situations while reducing compulsions and avoidance. ACT helps you respond more flexibly to difficult thoughts and feelings while taking actions guided by your values.
Where is online therapy available?
Telehealth is available in Washington, California, Oregon, and participating PSYPACT jurisdictions where Dr. Schuster is authorized to practice. Your physical location is confirmed before care begins and at each session.
Do you accept insurance?
Dr. Schuster accepts Aetna for patients located in Washington. Benefits, eligibility, and billing are managed through Headway. Interstate care is private pay and out of network.
What is the private-pay fee?
Private-pay therapy is $225–$285 per 50-minute session. Bellingham and Whatcom County sessions are $225. Remote-only care for Washington clients outside Whatcom County is $285. Interstate telehealth is $285; for interstate care, the rate reflects interjurisdictional and out-of-state regulatory requirements. Superbills are available for clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement.
Is the initial consultation free?
Yes. The initial consultation is a free 20-minute conversation to discuss goals, answer logistical questions, confirm location eligibility, and decide whether the approach is a good fit.
Can we meet while I am traveling?
You must be physically located in a jurisdiction where Dr. Schuster is authorized to practice at the time of the session.
Is care available in Spanish?
Yes. Therapy is available in English and Spanish. Language can be discussed during the consultation along with treatment fit and location eligibility.
